New features which should be implemented in Porteus; suggestions are welcome. All questions or problems with testing releases (alpha, beta, or rc) should go in their relevant thread here, rather than the Bug Reports section.

This is the git repositories for most of the build system and associated package sources that are used to make Porteus.
EDIT: moved to
https://codeberg.org/porteus (mostly)
(the old repos at
https://bitbucket.org/porteus/workspace/repositories/ will remain for now, but won't be updated)
Each repo description should be clear enough as to what each of them is and does.
It's a work in progress and some parts could be out of date, sources missing etc..
You are welcome to open issues/bug reports there or contribute via any of the git type activities.
Or simply check that bugs reported on the forum are being addressed there

Note that most repos active branch is v5.1 .

Reason: update the repo address

Hello, and thank you again for sharing the source repos!
You mention opening issues, but I can't see any place to do that in the bitbucket UI... This screenshot is taken while logged in. The only issues-looking thing I see is "Jira work items", but the "Create work item" is greyed out sadly. Same for all the Porteus repos that I checked.
I guess I can keep suggesting things here on the forum for now!

Certainly different dates than what I see on
ncmp's link.

my fault, i neglected to make the 'issue tracker' part public in the settings (apparently a separate setting to the general one).. should be visible now.. (at least for that repo, so far)
but also, bitbucket is about to remove the issue tracker function completely (have till august) with Jira to be used instead (which it's possible to migrate to)
presently considering what to do.. either figure out Jira and it's migration process or migrate the whole shebang to another service, most likely codeberg, i think.

git repos (can) have 'branches', some of which have more activity than others

I have a Codeberg now, would recommend creating an account if you haven't already... It seems you can just sign up, no long wait for approval. It's rather light on features currently, but does have an issues feature.

have begun the move to codeberg:
https://codeberg.org/porteus
managed to find a way to migrate the old issues from bitbucket, too.
will hopefully complete the move over the next few days.. and work on some cleaning up..
