I am trying to put Porteus on a USB stick, but I can't go to a website to download stuff. I need a browser. I am using a Realtek WIFI adapter. If I use an Ethernet cord, I could get it working. Any attempts to USB tethering is failing. I am just going to have to say, Goodbye Puppy Linux, Goodbye SliTaz, and Goodbye Porteus. I tried, I really tried. You are not giving me a way to put an OS on a USB and use the Internet.
Usually, on Peppermint OS, MX Linux, Linux Mint, Ubuntu, etc... I would just go to the 8821au-20210708 folder and type "make" into the terminal and then "sudo make install" and "sudo modprobe 8812au" and whamo!! Internet connection working
Anyways. I have tried, and I am not going to wait any longer.
I'll bury you guys next to AOLpress, Microsoft FrontPage, and Macromedia Flash. RIP
